4/24/2023 0 Comments Trailer Renovation is Complete! This project has truly been a labor of love. This trailer that was one full of love, laughter, and race cars soon became full of leaks, water, rust and damage. Years ago, my little brother hopped into the car hauler portion of our 48ft Vintage Trailer for a full on , HGTV style demolition. Which is how we got to the state of the first picture I have below. Between February to last weekend, I came to the race shop from my current town at least once a week to get to work on putting it back together for all 3 drivers to use this year. But, we couldn't do it without proper guidance. We had a family member, who specializes in construction, that we called in to help up start putting the ceiling back in because we had no CLUE were to even begin! (Trust me, we needed him! Thanks Burt!) Once the ceiling was done and in, it felt like we flew through the rest of it! We began with the (pictured) left wall from the corner where the cabinets live. We learned more and more with every cut, every panel placed, and every screw to hold it in. By the time we got to the end and began the (pictured) right wall, I think we all felt a bit like experts. Some work days, the boys would have a panel cut and would be loading it into the trailer to be fitted before I even was prepared from installing the last panel. Needless to say, we got a flow for what we were doing and we just went with the flow. And it felt amazing! What an improvement. So, let me run ya down what's new.
I am so incredibly happy and proud of everyone who has helped and continues to help us get this trailer road worthy. While we have spent many years participating within the professional ranks of the NHRA in the Pro Stock category, we truly are just a family owned, small business, drag racing loving family who work everyday trying to live the dream! Right now, our dream is still a work in progress but I already have my head in the clouds after this weekend's team effort.......
